Matthew Ogle
Chief Executive Officer, Founding Partner
Matthew Ogle is the Chief Executive Officer and Founding Partner of Legacy Knight. Prior to Legacy Knight, Matthew was the President and Chief Investment Officer of a Dallas-based single-family office where he also served as a managing partner in the family’s $2 billion private equity business.
Prior to the family office, Matthew was a Managing Director for Crow Holdings Capital where he helped build out the single-family office into a multi-family office with 32 families and $6.5 billion in assets under management. Prior to Crow, Matthew worked in investment banking / private banking for both RBC and Credit Suisse.
Matthew received his B.A. in Business Administration, Finance from the University of Oklahoma and earned his MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Matthew currently serves on one university board, multiple private company boards, is listed annually as a D CEO ‘top 500 most influential business leader’ and is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO North Texas Chapter).
Abe Minkara
Founding Partner
Abe Minkara is the Founding Partner of Legacy Knight. Prior to Legacy Knight, Abe was the Managing Director at Mark Cuban Companies. Abe managed the portfolio of investments at Mark Cuban Companies with a focus on technology, logistics, and consumer product goods (Shark Tank).
Abe is also actively engaged as an advisor and board member with a number of companies leveraging his expertise in strategy, operations, and capital allocation to help accelerate their growth. D CEO Magazine has recognized Abe as one of the 500 most influential business leaders in North Texas for 2020.
Additionally Abe is a Member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO Dallas Gold Chapter), Advisory board member at Eosera, Advisory board member at Productable, Advisory board member at Institute of Excellence in Corporate Governance (IECG), Advisor at City Rock Ventures, Mentor at Stadia Ventures, Advisory Council Member at Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT), and Advisory board member at Eisemann Edge Initiative.
Abe received his MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
David Sawyer

David Sawyer
Chief Operating Officer, Managing Partner
David Sawyer is Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Legacy Knight and leads the firm’s Houston office. Prior to Legacy Knight, he was Managing Director of a Houston-based $1.5B alternative investment firm and multifamily office where he served on the executive and investment committees.
David previously spent almost a decade leading complex legal, regulatory, and strategic initiatives in the political arena. He served as a senior aide on a major presidential campaign and in the United States Senate, and also held leadership roles with several other state and national political organizations.
David holds a B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
Brad Martin, CPA
Chief Financial Officer, Partner
As CFO, Brad Martin is responsible for all the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit and tax, and treasury. He also heads up investor reporting and all associated functions.
Before joining Legacy Knight, Brad worked in various positions and responsibilities for a family office in Dallas. He started as Accounting Manager for the family’s RIA and worked his way up to CFO. During his tenure, Brad was instrumental in implementing a new performance tracking and client reporting software for the family’s fund of fund products, streamlining the quarterly billing process, enhancing management reporting, and other process improvements. Prior to his time with the family office, Brad spent almost 10 years progressing through the accounting profession, with roles at KPMG, AMR, and Brinker International.
Brad received his B.B.A in Accounting and MBA from Baylor University.
McCall Tomeny
Director, Partner
McCall Tomeny is a Director at Legacy Knight. McCall advises influential families on the development of the strategy and management of their family office. In this role, McCall provides oversight of all family assets and liases with all external advisors to execute on various strategies and initiatives within the family office.
McCall previously served as an Investment Specialist at the JP Morgan Private Bank, where he provided wealth management advice and solutions to wealthy families, institutions, foundations, and endowments. McCall began his career at JP Morgan in 2015 in the analyst program.
McCall graduated Cum Laude with a B.B.A in Finance and Minor in Accounting from Loyola University New Orleans. While at Loyola University, he was a member of the basketball team and was inducted into the Loyola University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
Wes Homeyer
Director of Investments - Real Estate, Partner
Wes Homeyer is the Director of Investments – Real Estate and Partner at Legacy Knight. Prior to joining Legacy Knight, he was Managing Director at The Nehemiah Companies (TNC) responsible for the Build for Rent business. At TNC, Wes managed the growth of the Build for Rent business from inception, ultimately growing the platform to over $450 million in development value.
Before TNC, Wes worked as a Land Acquisition Manager at David Weekley Homes, responsible for land acquisition and development of over $467 million in development value. Before David Weekley Homes, he gained early career experience at Pulte Group in multiple operational roles.
Wes received his B.B.A. from the University of North Texas and his M.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Folsom Institute for Real Estate at SMU’s Cox School of Business.
David Meaney
Managing Director
David Meaney serves as a Managing Director for Legacy Knight where he works closely with the other team members to both grow and manage the Legacy Knight platforms with a specific focus on Legacy Knight’s OCIO platform. David has over 25 years of industry experience having been involved with the investment and/or deployment of over $5 billion in capital across both the public and private space in past roles.
Prior to Legacy Knight, David founded Exorior LLC, an investment management and advisory firm focused on private market deal sourcing and capital introduction services through its subsidiary, Exorior Advisory Services LLC. In 2017, he co-founded an energy-focused investment management firm, Assert Capital Mgmt., and subsequently launched an energy-focused directional long/short commodity hedge fund.
From 2005 – 2017, he held a progressive series of roles with BP Capital Mgmt./TBP Investments, the hedge fund management company and family office founded by T. Boone Pickens, where he was a member of the Investment Committee, a Portfolio Manager and ultimately rose to Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Prior to his experience at BP Capital, David was employed by Southwest Securities (now Hilltop Securities) as Vice President of Institutional Sales and Trading with a focus on electronic and program trading.
David began his career in 1998 with Rock Island Specialists on the floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Louisiana Tech University.
Aside from his business activities, David is a member of The Salesmanship Club of Dallas, an advisory board member for the Louisiana Tech Student Managed Investment Fund, and serves on the board of Park Cities Delta Waterfowl.
J. Philip Clark

Phil has spent his entire 45-year career in in the financial services industry. Since 2012, he served as a Managing Director for Phoenix Capital Partners, a real estate private equity firm with over $2 billion under management.
In 2004, he co-founded Epoch Investment Partners, which grew from $600 million in Assets Under Management to $25 billion when he retired in June of 2012. Fortune magazine named Epoch the 88th Fastest Growing Company in the world in their 2011 report. Epoch was sold in March 2013 to TD Bank for $670 million. Phil led the Investor Relations effort from the very beginning and was instrumental in the firm’s rapid growth. Prior, he was a 17-year veteran of Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., now part of AllianceBernstein. His responsibilities included that of National Managing Director of Bernstein’s private client business.
Previously, he was Managing Director of Bernstein’s Institutional Asset Management business and initiated and managed Bernstein’s sub-advisory business.

Cullen Crombie
Vice President
Cullen Crombie is a Vice President at Legacy Knight where he serves as an advisor on the family office team. In his role, Cullen supports the team in the oversight of family assets, the planning and implementation of various strategic initiatives within the family office, and a liason to external advisors.
Prior to joining Legacy Knight, Cullen was an analyst Tolleson Wealth Management, and previous to that, began his career at BOK Financial in their credit training program. Outside of Legacy Knight, Mr. Crombie serves on the endowment board for Parish Episcopal School, where he oversees the school’s private equity portfolio. Mr. Crombie graduated with a B.B.A. in Economics and a double minor in Finance and History from the University of Oklahoma and is currently a candidate for Level 2 of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
Sterling Curry
Vice President
Sterling Curry is a Vice Presient at Legacy Knight in the firm’s Dallas office.
Before joining Legacy Knight, Sterling was a Founding Partner at Dune Ridge Capital, a low-net generalist long/short equity hedge fund. Sterling’s previous experience also includes Business Development at Americana Partners and Fundraising at a Texas-based holding company with primary interest in oil and gas, real estate, early-stage venture capital and one-off private equity mandates.
Sterling graduated with a B.B.A in Economics and a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Austin.
Sylvia Liaw
Vice President
Sylvia Liaw is a Vice President at Legacy Knight in the firm’s Houston office.
Prior to joining Legacy Knight, Sylvia was an Associate at Blackstone in New York where she was involved in the evaluation and execution of private equity transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Prior to that, Sylvia worked in investment banking at Evercore in Houston focused on mergers, acquisitions, and financing advisory to energy clients.
Ms. Liaw received her B.B.A. in Finance with high honors from the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin.
Christina Nelson, CPA
Finance Manager
Christina Nelson is a Finance Manager at Legacy Knight. Christina is responsible for performing consolidated reporting to our partner families, in addition to investment statements and performance, capital call projections, and other accounting and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Legacy Knight, Christina served as an Senior Audit Associate in Asset Management at KPMG in Dallas, TX.
Christina graduated with a B.B.A in Accounting and with a Masters in Science of Accounting from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business and is licensed as a CPA with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
Allie Burgin

Allie Burgin is an Associate at Legacy Knight in the firm’s Dallas office.
Prior to joining Legacy Knight, Allie was a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Private Wealth Management division. Before that, Allie worked as an Analyst at a private family office in Dallas, Texas.
Allie graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business with a B.B.A in Finance.
Sam Stelk

Sam Stelk is an Associate at Legacy Knight in the firm’s Dallas Office.
Prior to joining Legacy Knight, Sam worked as an Associate in Asset Management at MoxieBridge, where he managed and operated 2.5 million square feet of real estate assets across multiple Texas markets. Before MoxieBridge, Sam served as a Senior Associate in the Advisory and Audit practices at KPMG in Dallas.
Sam graduated Cum Laude from the Baylor University Hankamer School of Business with a B.B.A in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. Sam is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
Erica Radman
Operations Manager
Erica Radman is an Operations Manager at Legacy Knight.
Prior to joining Legacy Knight, Erica helped form and launch the hedge fund Bronco Capital Management as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, she worked as an Analyst at a real estate development company in London, England. She began her career at Credit Suisse, most recently as an Equity Research Associate covering US Specialty Finance companies, particularly BDCs. She also worked on a team performing internal valuations on Credit Suisse’s private equity holdings.
Erica graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, as well as a minor in Accounting, from the University of San Diego.

Prior to joining Legacy Knight, Alex worked in the state and local tax group at Grant Thornton in Dallas, TX.
